| Some nice flow in this track |

Two weeks ago was held at the "Domaine 3R" in Trois-Rivière the "Roule et Dons" event. All the profits of
this friendly race went to the “Maison Carpe Diem”, a private medical home for people with Alzheimer.

Simon Dicaire, the race organiser, put together a really nice setup including music, tents, numerous prizes, a small pool and a bar. The local TV (TQS) and
radio (Energie) were present to cover and promote the event.

| Cross country... painful, but fun! |
I was really impressed with the track! The 5km course had good flow, nice technical portions and fun single tracks. Among other, Simon was
helped by Jérôme Pelland President of the ADSVMQ, an association who creates, enhances
and preserves trail opportunities for mountain bikers in Québec.

After the XC race, which I won… (hehe some XC guys realized that not every downhillers are beer drinkers... yeah some of us
train and ride road bikes! ;) Alright, I have to mention that I was racing in the sport category and we weren't a lot, but hey you gotta give credit
to a guy who usually rides a downhill bike and on top of that, went out till 3am, drank about 10 drinks and only slept for 4 hours! ahaha alright, I
should't have said that... ;)
Anyway, after the race all the people who didn’t compete were invited to ride the 5km course. We went around
the track for an easy ride with the organisers. I was especially impressed by a 6 or 7 year old kid! He was so tiny and his bike so small, it was
something seeing him riding down and then pushing his bike up the hills like if there was no tomorrow!

This event was also a way to promote the area, which is now reopened to mountain bikers after being closed for the past 6 years. The site is now
accessible anytime and there will be regional races next year. The organizer reserved me a big surprise, there’s now a big publicity panel on the road
in front of the site with my picture on it. The panel is just in front of the cycle path, how cool is that for my sponsors!
