Bootleg Canyon in last year... look carefully! ;)
Victoria, BC; Time to hit the road again! I'm catching a ferry tomorrow morning 10:30 to Port Angeles, Washington. A 16 hour drive will then get me into Monterey, California, where I will attend one of the most popular event of the year; The Sea Otter Classic.

The event is mainly used by the teams to launch their new gear, rider clothing and of course to interact with the fans. Many companies will also atttend Sea Otter to show their new products as the event gets a lot of exposure through the different media outlet. The actual downhill race is not high on my list of target races for the season, but a good opportunity for early season press images with my new team and also because Elka Suspension is officially launching their new shock which I helped developed. JF Mailhot from the Crux Magazine will be on site and I should have a pic or two with my new colors. Because of my injury, I don't have the fitness I wish I should have at this time of the year, so it will be a good way to get some training going on.

After Sea Otter, I'll head up to Las Vegas where I will stay for a few days. Vegas is 20 minutes from Bootleg Canyon where I will train everyday doing XC and DH rides. I'm confident I will be on top of my shape when I come back to Quebec somewhere at the end of April.

I was told by my new team manager that a press release revealing the team members is coming up very soon! I can't wait!!! :) Alright, so for now I'll keep on packing my stuff, have a good night/day and see you in 7000km! :p
